Have a Hoot Halloween Card

Hello,

When you sit down to create a card, do you use a card sketch or colour combination to help get the creative juices flowing? I was searching on social media, when I came across Wendy Cranford’s Colour Splash ten using the following colours.

When I first saw these colours, it automatically spoke Halloween to me! So I created a fun Halloween Card using these colours and the Have a Hoot stamp set.

I wented with the base colours of Rich Razzleberry and Granny Apple Green for my card design. Then I pulled in the other colours of Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry on my owl and pumpkin.

I wanted a spooky feeling to my card so I randomly stamped cobwebs all over my card base with Granny Apple Green ink. So what do you think of this fun colour combination, is it one that you will try out?

Love of Leaves – I thought of You

Hello,

This past weekend the weather sure felt like Fall with cooler temperature and lots of rain! I’m okay with that as I LOVE Fall. I love watching the colour change on the trees, the warm days and cooler night and the of course anything that is related to pumpkins and apples!

My card today was a CASE from a few projects that Stampin’ Up! shared with us using the Love of Leaves bundle. This bundle is a MUST in your collection if you are a huge fan of stitched dies and you love leaves!

Just look at the detail in those cutouts. They look like real veins on the leaves! I added a splash of colour by using the Gilded Autumn Specialty Paper pack. The colour hues in this pattern paper are gorgeous!

Isn’t that colour splash gorgeous! I can’t wait to share some more projects with you that I have created with this bundle.

Let’s Celebrate you

Hello,

Today, I’m sharing a card that I made back in the summer for a swap that I was participating in. I was swapping with other leaders here in Canada and our theme was the new Annual catalogue so that meant we could choose any new product to work with.

When creating my card, I wanted to add some of the new 2020 Incolour into it and decided that Cinnamon Cider was the perfect match for my card.

I decided to add a little bit of texture on my card by embossing a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Old World Map 3D Embossing Folder. Just look at that extra detail in the background!

Does the layout look familiar? I used the same layout on my card yesterday that I featured with the Nothing Better Then Bundle. I really want to share with you that you can use the same layout for projects but switch out the products being used. Do you ever just CASE yourself with past projects? I do it all the time.
