Autumn Leaves Grateful Heart Card

Happy Monday!

Hope you had a great weekend! It was a good around here. I manage to get some get my front gardens ready for the winter season by pulling out the dead stuff, putting away garden ornaments and filling up my bird feeder. I can’t wait to watch the birds from my front window!

One of my favourite products from the catalogues are Embossing Folders. I love how they take a piece of paper and turn it into magic with the designs from the folders.

Did you know that we have over 25 different types of Embossing folders that you can use on your projects? I didn’t realize we had that many until I counted them for this blog post!

The Embossing folder that I’m featuring on my card today is the Distressed Tile. You can find this beautiful folder in the Sept to Dec 2023 Mini catalogue as it’s part of the All about Autumn Suite. I paired my embossing folder with the gorgeous Autumn Leaves bundle.

I love how the embossing folder added that extra detail in the background of my card!

Wild Storm in Southwest Ontario Last Night

Happy Friday,

Hope you are having a great start to your weekend! It’s been a wild one here in Southwest Ontario as we had some intense storms go through last night with lots of wind, heavy rain and we think a few tornado’s might have touched down. We lost power for about 3 hours and my supper was a bag of chips, well that tied me over till we could make something. We are safe and only have few leaves and branches down. As I’m typing this, I can hear the sounds of chainsaws going.

Here is a picture of the storm as it was just starting to rain here.

And here is a picture of a tree down on our street. We think lightening might have hit it.

Grateful that we are all safe and no damage done to the house. I’m playing catch up in my room since we had no power last night and working on creating projects for next month.

I will be working on uploading the video from this week’s Crafty Session and it will be on my blog tomorrow. I can’t wait to share with you what we created this week using the Sweetest Cherries stamp set.

Need to Order Supplies: You can either email me your order OR you can head to my ONLINE STORE. Don’t forget to use the HOSTESS CODE: RFAK6KNH Order over $50 and you will qualify for my Customer Thank You Special for the month.

Happy Canada Day!

Hello Stampers!

It’s a new month and start of summer for me! I’m so looking forward to the lazy days of summer, no alarms, no rushing out the door for work, lots of stamping and most of all hanging out with family and friends!  Today, here in Canada we are celebrating Canada Day! A nation that is known for scenic beauty, diverse culture, and friendly people.

Today we celebrate Canada being 156 year olds! Now that is worth celebrating for sure!!

Did you know that Canada is famous for the following things:

  • Maple Syrup that comes from our Maple tree’s – so delicious!
  • Poutine – french fries with gravy, and cheese curds
  • Canada’s Rocky Mountains
  • Colourful money
  • Niagara Falls – beautiful water falls
  • CN Tower in Toronto
  • Home to the Calgary Stampede
  • Politeness
  • Hockey
  • Saying the word ” EH” with everything!
  • Gorgeous Fall colours in the fall
  •  For it’s absolutely frigid winter temperatures
  • Home to the Northern Lights also known as the aurora borealis.
  • Home to Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia
  • Beautiful East Coast and West Coast

As you can see Canada is known for many beautiful and different things that we call home! One of my favourite places to visit is the East Coast home to Peggy Coves, Lighthouses, Low Tide/High Tide in the Bay of Funny and the most amazing seafood!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!!

Circle Saying ” Awesome Card – Global Design Project #394- Sketch Challenge – Crafty Session #90

Happy Friday!

Hope you are having a great start to your weekend! It’s the first long weekend of the summer here in Canada and I’m so looking forward to having the extra day off! Lots of things to do on my checklist this weekend but I do plan to have some downtime and do some crafting! What is on your agenda this weekend?

This week during our Facebook Live Crafty Session, we participate with this weeks Global Design Project #394. This week over at the Global Design Project the challenge was a sketch challenge and the challenge was to create a slimline card. I don’t often create Slimline cards so I thought it was a great challenge to try.

When creating my card, I decided to play with the Circle Saying Bundle. This new bundle features a stamp set and coordinating 2 3/8″ Circle punch. Plus, it’s a million dollar achiever set that was designed by Jessica Taylor. Jessica worked with the Concept Artist to create this everyday bundle that you can use for so many different occasions!

I really like how this card turned out and love the colours in the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. This is one of my top favourite papers in the new 2023 Annual Catalogue!
