Hope you are having a great day! It’s been a busy one around here with errands this morning and now I’m spending some time in my room working.
This past week we are featuring the Sunrise Sailing Bundle that you can find in our Online Exclusives section in our Online Store.
When I first saw the Mosaic Tile Technique on my friend Mary’s blog, I thought to myself, I want to give that a try using the new Sunrise Sailing Bundle. Thanks for the inspiration Mary!
When I first saw the Mosaic Tile Technique, I thought that is way to hard. But honestly, it’s the opposite, it’s very easy!
First, I stamped my Sail boat with Secret Sea Ink onto a piece of Basic White card stock. Next, I stamped the bottom of the boat and the sail images with Real Red ink. The last thing that I did was stamped my water with Balmy Blue ink. I random stamped them all over the bottom piece of the Basic White card stock.
Then using my paper trimmer, I cut the Basic White 3 3/4″ by 5″ piece of card stock at 1 1/4″ and then again at 1 1/4″. This will give you three equal stripes. Then you are going to take those stripes, turn the card stock, and cut at 1″ This will give you individual tiles that measure 1″ by 1 1/4″. Then all you do is arrange them on your card stock and glue them down to create the Mosaic Tile Technique.

Measurements for my card:
- Cloud Cover Card stock – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
- Secret Sea Card stock – 4 1/8″ by 5 1/2″
- Basic White Card stock – 3 3/4″ by 5″ – cut into square tiles, cut at 1 1/4″, then cut again at 1 1/4″. Turn your card stock and cut into 1″ tiles. Your tiles will measure 1″ by 1 1/4″
