Happy Friday!
it’s been very HOT and HUMID here the last week. Too hot to be outside so it’s the perfect time to create in my studio. I sat down the other day to create some projects with the Good Morning Bundle from Stampin’ Up! The new suite is on trend as Magnolia’s are so HOT and you see them everywhere right now!
When I sat down to start creating with this suite, I turn to one my favourite blog for inspiration Freshly Made Sketches. I love that I can take a sketch and figure out the missing pieces with ink, paper and card stock.
When I started to create my project, I only worked with the products in the Good Morning Magnolia Suite. I used the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, and the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. I did add a bit of texture in the background with the Artisan Texture stamp set.
Helpful Tips for this Card Design!
- Stamp Sets: Good Morning Magnolia and Artisan Texture ( the circles in the background)
- Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper
- Thick White Card stock – 4 1/4 by 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
- Greeting is stamped in Memento Ink
- Flower is stamped in Memento ink and coloured with the Stampin’ Blend: Petal Pink, Old Olive and Dark Daffodil Delight
- Wink of Stella Glitter Pen added to the petals of the flower
- Background image stamped in Mossy Meadow

Over the weekend, I had a chance to play along with last weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. This sketch was designed by Cécile and it was a fun one. At first, I was like "what am I going to do with that sketch?" After playing around with a few different colour combinations, I finally came up with this!!
I had some new product on my table and I thought why not use them! LOVE, LOVE the new Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Texture Impression Folder! The impressions are so deep and real!!
I went with the colour combination of Berry Burst, Basic Black and Whisper White. These colours together are so rich and stunning!!
My pattern paper is from the Color Theory Designer Series Pack and the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper pack!!
Doesn't this chair look so inviting? Makes me just want to sit outside with a nice cold glass of Ice Tea!! I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set!! The greeting is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set!

Hello,
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are having a lovely day with your loved ones! It's a quiet one around here which is just what we all need..a chillin' day! We have been so busy that we are all looking forward to watching some movies and I am looking forward to some time to stamp!!
I stuck into my room this morning to create this fun Valentine card for Corrie. I couldn't resist using the new Bear Hugs stamp set and matching Bear Hug framelits. This new bundle is a one that you can use for any occasions from birthdays, to thanks, anniversary and just to say " I Love you."
As I was starting to make this card, I knew that I wanted to use this week's Freshly Made Sketch #223. This fun sketch was created by Amy. I love that this sketch can be used for some many occasions and one that I will be using again in the future!!
So once I gathered my inks, stamps, and paper, I knew that I wanted my card to be a Valentine's card and that the bear would be my main focus!
When I was designed the card, I knew that I wanted to use the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper pack and chose the colours that coordinate with this paper pack: Crumb Cake, Rose Red, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.
The Love Blossom paper pack worked perfect for the stripes behind my circle. My bear was stamped in Crumb Cake and cut out with my Bear Hugs framelits and Big Shot machine. One of my favourite things is when I can stamp an image and die cut it out with a framelit…simple, easy and no fussy cutting!!

I hope you are having a great day! It's a nice and quiet one around here. The girls are working on projects for school and we just finished working up the garden. Next week we will get some new flowers and mulch!
Yesterday, I had a chance to play along with this week's Freshly Made Sketches. It's a clean and simple one that was created by Narelle.
As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew that I wanted to use the new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper and the "I think you're Great" stamp set!
Did you notice the gold thread hiding behind my greeting? That is the new Gold Metallic Thread Twine and it's awesome to work with!!

No better way to start your morning off with a sketch challenge? This week's sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches was designed by Cindy. As soon as I saw the layout, I knew exactly the pieces I was going to use to create my project!!
As soon as I saw the sketch, I vision a birthday card with Ice Cream Cones. And the new Sprinkles of Life stamp set was perfect set to help me create the pieces I need to figure out my sketch puzzle!!

Hello,
I hope you are having a great weekend! Ours is a quiet one which is nice for a change!! When I was designed for my projects for Coffee and Cards, I turned to the web to look for some fun sketch challenges. I came across this fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.
I really like the clean and simply look to it and couldn't wait to figure out my pieces for the sketch!!
When I saw the pieces tug behind the square, I automatically thought of Washi Tape. Since I was designing with the colours of Crisp Cantaloupe and Basic Grey, I knew the Sweet Dreams Washi tape would coordinate beautifully with my project.
I stamped my tree in Basic Grey and my flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe. As I said in previous post, I'm really going to miss this colour when it leaves on June 2!!
Stampin' Tips:
- layers of Whisper White creates a simple and clean project
- add layers of Washi tape for a fun background detail
- pop up your image for extra dimension
- Sweet Dreams Washi Tape will be leaving us on June 2
