Happy Friday!

I can’t believe it’s Friday already, where did the week go? It’s crazy how fast the summer weeks are flying!!

Today, I’m sharing the card that we made in our Wed Crafty Session Video. This week we are featuring the Stampin’ Hot Foil System and the Botanical Glow Bundle. This new bundle is part of the Hot Foil Product Line but the best part is that you can use only the stamp set or you can use the Hot Foil Dies to add some foil to your projects.

My Botanical Glow Bundle arrived a few hours before it was time to do my video. So I quickly made some samples using the bundle to share during my video.

While I was creating my samples, I thought it would be fun to create a Christmas card with the Botanical Glow Bundle. I pulled out the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper and went with the plaid Peaceful Pine pattern. I love the plaid look and thought it would be the perfect background paper for my leaves.

On both of my samples, I stamped the leaves stamp in Peaceful Pine ink onto the Peaceful Pine plaid pattern paper. Then using the Stampin’ Hot Foil System, and Gold Foil, I add the gold leaves to the pattern paper. Now the leaves stamp set and the leaves die is not suppose to line up which helps added the stunning look to your projects.

I adhere the Peaceful Pine Plaid pattern paper to a Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer and then onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I love this colour combination as it’s very elegant and stunning for Christmas Cards. The die cut label and greeting is from the Stitched Stocking Bundle. My greeting was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. I finished it off with a Gold mesh ribbon and Cherry Cobbler embellishments (from the retired Cherry Cobbler and Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries). I knew I was holding onto them for a reason!

Measurements for my card:

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock – 4″ by 5 1/4″
  • A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper – 3 3/4″ by 5″
