Today, I’m sharing one of the cards that we made last night in our Birthday Theme Card Class. In this class, we made 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs). One of the cards that I focus on was a kids card and I knew the Turtle-Y Awesome bundle would be perfect for it!
This card was one of their top favourites last night. We used the new Turtle Textures Embossing Folder to add some texture to the background. I love the fun geometric shapes in this embossing folder.
The Lemon Lime Twist Everyday Arches Dies was the perfect accent for our Turtle die cut. The turtle was stamped in Memento Ink onto Basic White card stock. I coloured it with Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The cake was stamped in Memento Ink onto Basic White card stock. I coloured it with Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie and Natural Medium Stampin Blends. We then used the Turtle-Y Awesome dies, to die cut out the turtle and the birthday cake.
Measurements for my card:
- Card stock Base – Thick Basic White – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
- Card stock – Coastal Cabana – 4″ by 5 1/4″
- Card stock – Basic White – 1″ by 4″
- Card stock Scraps: Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White
