Happy Friday!

I can’t believe how fast this week flew by and that our first week of summer is almost over! It’s been a pretty chill week around here but honestly it’s just what I needed after the last few busy week of school! As I type this blog post up, it’s another hot and humid day here in Ontario. With the humidex it will feel closer to 38 degrees which is very hot and humid! A great day to stay inside and stamp the afternoon away!

Today, I’m sharing a card that I made using the Light the Sky stamp set and the Fluffiest of Friends stamp set! Here in Canada the Beaver is one of our national symbols so of course, I have to capture him watching the fireworks on Canada Day!

I used a variety of product to make my festival card. The beaver and nest was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Pecan Pie card stock. I used the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends to colour his tail, feet, nose and nest. The Heart was colour with the Real Red Stampin’ Blend. The beaver and nest were cut out with the Fluffiest Friends dies and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.

The mountain was stamped in Pebbled Path onto Pebble Path card stock and cut out with the In The Grove dies. You can find the mountain In The Grove stamp set.

The fireworks were randomly stamped in Real Red ink onto the card base and the Basic White card stock layer. I used a variety of sizes to create my firework display!

My greeting was stamped in Pebbled Path onto a Basic White label that was created with the Happy Little Things Dies that you can find in the Online Exclusives on my website.

Measurements for my card:

  • Real Red card base – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black cardstock  – 3 1/4″ by 4 1/2″
  • Basic White card stock – 3″ by 4 1/4″
  • Pool Party card stock – 1″ by 3″
  • Scraps of Basic White, Pebble Path, Pecan Pie

The Light The Sky stamp set and Light the Sky dies can be used for many different occasions. Think Graduation, Birthdays, Congrats, Retirement, and Fireworks are just a few that I think of. Plus, you can use for scrapbooking or card making.

I have a two more samples to share with you this weekend. I can’t wait to share them with you!
