Hello,
Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a great day and that you find some time for yourself today! Here in Ontario, our clocks went back an hour so now we have an extra hour for sleep and to accomplish things during the day!
I‘m spending the day in my room, working on my to do list and prepping projects for upcoming events while I listen to Christmas music! What a relaxing way to spend the day!
This week in our Crafty Session Facebook Live on Wednesday night, we created cards using the Stack and Shuffle Technique. I had seen this technique on social media and thought I had to give it a try. OMG, it’s so easy and what a great way to create multiple cards for different occasions at once.
So the idea with the Stack and Shuffle technique is that you stack three pieces of pattern papers together, and then you make 2 cuts into the pattern paper which creates the three layers for your Stack and Shuffle.
I thought I would show one of the cards close up so you can see the three different sections of pattern papers. I love how frosty and wintry this card looks!

Isn’t that a cool technique? I definitely will be using this again to create some different all occasions cards like birthday, and thank you!
Measurements and Supplies for my cards:
- Winter Meadows Designers Series Paper – 3 3/4″ by 5″ – you need three different patterns
- Basic White Cardstock Base – 4 1/4″ by 11″ score at 5 1/2″
- Lost Lagoon Card stock layers – 4″ by 5 1/4″
- Stylish Shape Dies
- Stamp and Cut Emboss Machine
- Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock Ink Pads
- Loose Holly Gems
On my video, I shared another way to use this technique with the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper and More Wishes stamp set. I wanted to create some For You cards to give to family and friends. I used the same measurements as above, I switched out the pattern paper and the cardstock colours.
Aren’t those colours gorgeous together? My colour combination is Pretty Peacock, Poppy Parade, Basic White and Calypso Coral.
