Hello,
I can’t believe it’s the weekend already, the weeks are flying by? It’s been a crazy week around here and not alot of time in the studio creating! It’s suppose to be a rainy day tomorrow so looking forward to some stamp time in my studio!
This week I’m featuring the Perched in the Tree Bundle that you can find in the July to December catalogue. The two things that I love about this stamp set is one that it has a bird image and the other reason is the dies! Just look at those gorgeous dies! One that you can use for many different seasons, and occasions!
Did you know you can earn the Aspen dies and the Ring of Love Designers Series Paper for FREE with a qualifying order during Saleabration. But you need to act quickly, you only have 11 more days till to grab those free products!
The project that I’m sharing today was card that I made for a mystery challenge that was posted in my team group. Each Monday, my team member Cindy give us a challenge to play along for the week. Sometime it’s a mystery challenge, a colour challenge or a sketch challenge. These challenges are a great way to get the creative juices flowing!
The challenge that Cindy gave us was the following:
- Card base – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
- Card stock – 4″ by 5 1/4″
- Pattern Paper – 3 1/2″ by 4 3/4″
- Card stock – 2 1/2″ by 2 1/2″
- Card stock – 2: by 2″
- Sentiment
- Embellishment
As you can see this leaves the imagination open to many different possibilities. So, when I sat down to create with the Perched in a Tree bundle, I decided to play around with a few combinations till I had something that I could work with.
This is what I came up with, I love how the card turned out. Remember the mystery pieces are just there as a guide and can help you with a starting place. As you can see, I switched up the last 2″ by 2″ piece of card stock for a label for my greeting. The other piece of card stock, I decided to emboss it with the Wintry 3D embossing folder. I love how it adds that pop of details in behind the bird.
