Spectrum Ink Pads - Sunday Facebook Live

Welcome to this week’s Sunday Facebook Live. This week we focus on the Uninked Spectrum Pads. These little gems are found on page 202 of the Annual Catalogue. I have to admit when I first saw these, I just glance over them but it wasn’t till I saw some recent projects made with them that I had to check them out. I’ms so glad that I did because now they are addicting!!!

Best thing about these little gems is that it comes un-inked so you get to create your own ink pads of colours. Now this is where the fun part comes in as the possible are endless!!

When inking up my ink pad today, I really wanted to try out some Purples and Pink combinations. I came up with the following:

I gave you a few great tips during the video on how you can test out your colour combination before you have ink up your spectrum pads. As you don’t want to ink it up and then not like the combination that you picked.

My first project today show cases a little masking technique with a template. Using the Big Shot machine and the Layering Square Framelits, I created a template with 3 squares. Then using a Brayer and the Spectrum Ink pad, I colour in those square, I really wanted to get the square light as I wanted to stamp a darker image over top of them.

Our second project was also a masking technique but instead of a template I used Post it Notes to create the mask, When you do this you have a section that is left open for you to colour, This time, I used sponge daubers and my spectrum pads.

On both projects, I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set. This is one set you should have in your collection as you can use it for any occasion.
