Nothing Better Than Happy New Years Card

Happy New Year Eve!!

I can’t believe that today is the last day of 2020! Some months felt really long and others went by so quickly. I know that 2020 was a difficult year but I do feel a lot of positive came from it like more family time, learning to do new things, personal growth, more meals made at home and most of all enjoy the downtime with family!

Tonight we will be celebrating saying good bye with the old and in with the new! I thought it would be fun to show you a card of what I will be doing tonight while I watch the World Junior’s Hockey game. I don’t drink cocktails, so I thought I would create a fun card showing you that I will be celebrating with a hot chocolate and chocolate to ring in the New Year!

This fancy fold card is called a See Thru card. I saw this cool fancy fold on my friends Di Gibbs blog and thought it would be a good card to try to for my project today. Thanks for the inspirational Di!

Freezin Fun Bubble Technique – More Cards to Share

Hello,

Thanks for all the comments on my Monday Night Crafting Session. I’m really having fun creating and stamping with you each week. With all the lockdowns and restricts in place, I’m missing my in-person classes and I thought if you can’t come to me then I will bring stamping to you!

This past Monday night in our weekly Monday Night Crafting Session, I share how to create a background using re-inkers, water and dish soap. The neat thing about this technique is that no two background will be the same. Want to learn how to do this, head this post to read about it where you can watch a video on how I made it.

I wanted to share a few more cards that I made with this technique and the Freezin Fun Bundle.

This is one bundle that will be staying in my retired stash! These little critters are so cute and you can use them for so many different projects! Sadly the Freezin Fun Bundle is retiring on Jan 4, but good news it’s still available, so order yours before they leave us on Jan 4th!

Bubble Technique Background with Freezin Fun Bundle – Monday Night Crafting Session #3

Hello,

Last night in our Stamp with Anne Facebook Group, we had our weekly Monday night crafting session. This is the third week in a row that we gather together via a Facebook Live to create a project. I love doing it in my community as it’s a great way to connect with my fellow stampers! Want to join my community, click here.

Last night I share with them how to create a unique background with bubbles. This is a throwback technique and one that is so easy to do. All you need is re-inker, dish soap, a cup, water and straw. When creating my project I knew that it would be perfect background for the Freezin Fun bundle.

The cool thing about this technique is that no two projects will be the same as each one creates an unique background depending how you do it! Plus you can make them lighter or darker depending on how much re-inker you use in your bubble/water solution.

Which cute little critter do you like? I love the Penguin, the Seal and the Bunny as those are my favourite from the set. Plus the tree is the perfect tree for winter projects!

Want to create this project, here are the measurements for you:

  • Balmy Blue Card Stock – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Misty Moonlight Card Stock – 4″ by 5 1/4″
  • White Card Stock – 3 3/4″ by 5″

You will also need white card stock scraps, thick white card stock scraps, Stampin’ Blends for colouring, Freezin Fun Bundle, and Stampin Cut and Emboss machine. I have listed all the supplies that I used for this project below.

I have shared this video to my YOUTUBE CHANNEL or you can watch it below. Want to see more videos from me, be sure to subscribe to my YOUTUBE channel.

Tomorrow I will be sharing a few more cards done with this technique!

Tag Buffet Project Kit

Happy Christmas Eve!

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is almost here and that we are actually in the month of December with this crazy 2020 year we have had. Some months felt extra long and others flew by quickly! Yesterday, I spent some time in my studio listening to Christmas music and creating the afternoon away.

One of the projects that I was working on, was this Project Kit from Stampin’ Up! This kit is called the Tag Buffet and it creates 30 gorgeous tags, you get 5 each of 6 different designs. My wrapping is all done for this year but I will be using these for my presents in 2021.

The first thing that I did was take all the pieces out of the cardboard and lay them out on my desk.

Once, I had all the pieces sorted out the next step was to create piles of each tag. All the pieces were put together that I would need for that tag so once I began to assembling them it would be quick.  Before, I assembled each tag, I stamped all the greetings for each individual tag. For this project kit, you would need the Tag Buffet stamp set, Shaded Spruce, Garden Green and Real Red ink pad.

This project kit was simply and quick and in less then an hour, I had 30 gorgeous tags that I can use for my gift giving next year.

FLASH ALERT!!!!This project kit is on SALE right now for 50% off, yes that is correct, you can purchase this kit for only $20.50 if you are here in Canada. I actually placed an order yesterday afternoon and ordered extra of these kits as I few projects in mind with them.

Merry and Bright Coming Home Christmas Card

Hello,

Hope you are having a great day! Popping in today with a Christmas card that I created with the Coming Home Bundle and the Curvy Christmas stamp set.

One of my favourite patterns from the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper pack is this snowflake paper. Honestly, I wish Stampin’ Up! made a full pack of just this pattern as it so pretty and you can use it for so many wintery projects.

Both of these stamp sets are leaving us on Jan 4th. Right now both are still available to purchase but you will want to act fast as they are while supplies last. My tree and house was stamped in Memento Ink and coloured in with the Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. The snowy hill was created with the Curvy Dies, and the greeting is from the Curvy Christmas stamp set.
