Sweet Citrus Card – Crafty Session #96

Hope you are having a great day! It’s been a good one around here as I continue to clean out closet, bins, re-organize and purge. It feels so good to go through things and unload them if you are not using them anymore.

Last night over on my Stamp With Anne Facebook page, we had fun crafting and chatting while we created a card with the Sweet Citrus stamp set and the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing folders. I have to admit this was not my usually go to stamp set but I’m so glad that I decided to create with it. It was so much fun and I love how all the samples turned out. It’s the perfect set for summer theme parties, thank you gifts or birthdays.

When I was creating this card last night, I told them it look like the lemons were sitting on the counter infront of backsplash. I love how the yellow is a pop of colour against the black and white.

In the video, I tried to share many other ways to use these products along with showing you different colour options for the fruit. We made lemons, limes, and oranges.

Thick White card base – 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
Basic White – 4″ by 5 1/4″
Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper – 3/4″ by 4″
Decked Rectangle Dies
Scraps of Basic White card stock
Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Berry Burst and Lemon Lolly Ink Pads
Black and White Gingham Ribbon
Sweet Citrus stamp set and Sweet Citrus Hybrid Folder

Look what the UPS driver delivered to me today. It’s my order with some of the new product from the Occasion Mini. Check out the Summer Picnic designer series paper, the new rub-ons, and the Carousel Notes. I can’t wait to ink these stamps and create some fun projects with them . It won’t take long as the stamps are already die-cut for us. You just pop them out of the rubber and place on your stamps. Voila, you are ready to go…..

Watch for some new projects this week showcasing new products.

I also got my Stamper 6 club order. The girls were very excited to find out that their orders are in. Check out what they order. I can tell you that Scallop Punch, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 Circle punches were a hit with them.

Look, what I got in the mail today!! I love this magazine. By far it’s my favourite of all scrapbook magazines out there. The layouts, the projects and articles are only a beginning as to what this magazine has to offer. One of my favourite features is Passport to Creativity. This is where they take you on a tour of a Province and interview 3 different scrapbookers. I love reading about them, finding out how much then spend a month,(this is where I can compare it to myself and say "I’m not the only one"), what their favourite product is and seeing how they organize their scrapbook rooms. I love how they showcase a product and give you step by steps on how to use it. I love seeing what the Hottest Products are in Canada. I read this book from cover to cover and then again. So you know what I will be doing soon, curling up with a good magazine!! Hurry to the nearest store to pick up your own copy now!! Trust me you won’t be disappointed!!
