Over the weekend, I spent sometime in my studio, removing my retired product and making room for my new product from the upcoming Annual 2018 Catalogue. I purged, re-organized and even starting pricing my retired stuff for my annual BOGO sale in June. It feel like my studio lost about 60lbs!
The one area that I kept putting off to reorganize was my paper scraps. I have an Ikea desk and have two drawers with files folders in bottom of them. This is where I host all my card stock scraps. You never know when you are going to need that perfect size for a punch or a die cut.
After pulling out the retired card stock it was time to reorganize them. I sorted mine by the new colour families as I find this is the easiest way to find my scraps when I’m looking for them. After I had them in the file, I add a new label tab to the folder and add it to the drawer. Just looking at this makes my heart happy!
I have many other organized tips to share with you as each time I reorganize an area I snapped some pictures to share with you!! So how do you store your paper scraps? I would love to hear as I’m always looking for new ways to organize my product as I’m a firm believer if you see the product you will use it more on your crafting projects!

I have been on a mission cleaning and organizing my studio and I can't wait to show you. I have taken pictures and in the process of editing them and then I will be sharing them with you!
I will be sharing many ways to store your embellishments and tools. Today, I want to share how I store my Sponge Daubers. These Colouring Tools are a must have in your craft room but it's difficult to store them. I have tried many different ways to store them but I finally decided on this way to store them and LOVE IT!!!
Sponge Daubers: One of my customer shared this tip with me and I'm so glad that she did. She had picked up one of these containers from other hobby store and it's perfect way to store my Sponge Daubers.
As you can see it holds 40 sponge daubers and I still have some empty spots!
For each of my Sponge Daubers, I use a labelled machine to label each of my daubers so I know what colours they are! One of the best things that I purchased as I love a clean and labelled look!!
I hope I have inspired you to organize your sponge daubers in a cool way!! I would love to hear how you store yours as you might have a different way to store them. I think when we share idea's with each other, we find a way that works best for you and best for your studio.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
Lot's of fun and exciting things happening in my studio! I can't wait to show you the end result when it's all done and finally give you a tour of my happy place!! Yes..this is my happy place and a place that I spend lots of time stamping, creating and prepping for classes!
I have been on the look out for a new table for the last few month as I felt that I need more space and room on my table when I'm creating. After sharing my idea with my Corrie, we began the process of looking and searching for idea's. I spent a lot of time looking at various stampin blogs, Pinterest and talking with fellow demonstrator to see what they had and used.
After looking around and deciding on what we were going to do, we finally made the decision to go with the Alex Drawers and Table top from Ikea!! Well, last Friday we made the trip to order them and then the countdown began till we could pick them up!!
Finally the wait is over…we picked up the boxes from Ikea on Tuesday night after work!!
Almost loaded into the truck!!
This is view in my studio! See why I need a bigger area to work at!! LOL
This is my current table, and you can see why I need a bigger area when I'm working!!
And finally the start of my new craft table!! I'm so excited and can't wait for Corrie to finish putting the rest of them together.
The fun will begin this weekend when I can start the reorganizing process. I will share the process with you over the weekend and I can't wait to show you my new studio with a grand tour in the next few weeks!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
Over the past year, I have been working on ways to organize my supplies! I'm a true believe that if you see your supplies you will use them more!! When we were in the process of finishing our basement, I had to move my studio upstairs into the front room (which we used as a office). During the 6 months of being upstairs, I fell in LOVE with the space, and the fact that I was upstairs with my family and the tons of natural light from the big windows!! I kept telling Corrie that I really don't want to move back downstairs and we decided that my studio would be upstairs and my classroom would be downstairs. Instant LOVE!!!
Well, I have been upstairs in my new space for over 2 years and I'm excited to share with you the varies ways that I organize my supplies and will share my studio space with you over the next few weeks!
Today, I'm sharing with you how I store my embellishments. I actually got this idea from my good friend Kimberly and couldn't wait to find the tins so that I could do this!!
Oh, doesn't this look like eye candy?? I have this sitting on my hutch and every time the girls walk by it, they have to play with the buttons!!
I used antique muffin tins that I found at the Clever Clow Designs here in town. My friend Stephanie owes this store and has many unique re-purpose items for sale!! She is looking for a few items for me and I can't wait to share them with you once we find them!!
The one thing with using the muffin tins, I love that I can see what I have on hand and how much. This is very helpful especially when planning for a class. My sequins are in separate tart tins. This makes it easier to use and find that certain one you are looking for!!
How do you store your embellishments? I would love it you share with me by leaving a comment. I think there are so many amazing ways to store your supplies and I know the rest of us can't wait to see them!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!
